Ok Ken... here is my thought.
For the Giants machine as is. It would be $8500 all inclusive including shipping and insurrance. Once you receive the machine and verify it is in working order and everything works, then the deal would be finalized.. Any pinball technician could repair any issues as they arise. I would be able to assist over phone if it is an easy fix but if something goes bad or a mechanism fails, any pinball repair man could fix any issue the machine would have.
In regards to contactless payment, I found a company that does it. The device is about $150 but the site I looked at says it is a minimum order of 4 units. It seems fairly easy for me to install. So, yes we could make that happen on a Royals machine. The one I was looking at would require the customer to download an app by scanning a QR code. Then once the app is downloaded the person then types in the machine code or scans a QR code and then they can pay with apple pay, paypal, credit card etc. The fee is 5.25% on the one I saw. So, you'd pay for the device, and then have to pay 5.25% of the total the customer spends. This could be implemented fairly easily and delivered ready to go. If you decide to go this route I will call the company and make sure I understand completely and how you get paid etc,
So, for the Royals machine I would price it at $10,000 which will include the cashless payment system, and a card dispenser. You tell the game when to award a card (ie, any homerun, only grandslam, every 5 runs etc.) And you would have to load the cards in the dispenser, I believe any card would work but i have heard people have issues with the glossy new cards as the dispenser is a roller that grabs the next card but was made for use with 1990's topps and donrus which were a matte like finish on the cards. This price would include my design work which requires me to to work closely with you. I would get your approval before I order any graphic since they are not cheap so I can't afford many re-dos. The game would be guaranteed to be in 100% working order when delievred. This means no lights are out, no portion of the game is not working and everything is perfect. Once delivered and agreed is working as expected, we would run through all options and settings together over the phone too insure it is working great. Omce confirmed, it would be your machine and the deal final. This is because if it is played a lot, there could be stress on the bat or pitching mechanism. I had to replace my pitching mechanism which cost about $150 but the labor is what will get ya. As a pinball tech will probably be $100/hr and may take 2-3 to install the new mechansim. So, being the machine is from 1991, there is just no guarantee on how long these parts will last. But I have gutted these machines and nothing is difficult that a pinball tech couldn't easily repair. The only difficult part is the card mechansim but I think I can find one for under $500 so I added $500 to the total. The additional $1000 is for the payment system and the added design time.
Also, this price includes the scoreboard screen and a free account to make changes to what is displayed. Also, I include two 3" speakers inside the machine, with volume control. This was kinda iffy for me as of course you want sound to play when the screen is playing highlights but when someone is playing obviously you want the game music playing not the tv screen volume. I do this by hand, so I am going to have to think if there is anyway to make the volume shut off when someone pays for the game. I will look into that but that would be included as I am sure it wouldn't be more than $100 I just need to learn how to do it.
So, that's what I have so far. Once you decide which option then I can create a contract and get started. As far as payment, it would need to be paid via Zelle or PayPal. Full payment would be needed on the Giants machine. On a Royals machine, i would need half up front. So, $5000 as this would cover the purchase and shipping of a Slugfest machine and allow me to get started on the ordering of the NFC and creating graphics. I am pretty fast at design but I would be working directly with you. For example, I would dummy up a crowd art. Send to you, you can give me your opinion, changes etc. (This is unlimited within reason) I don't want to do detail artwork until you are happy with the layout, then I would start to design it digitally getting your okay throughout. Once you confirm the design I would do the final design, again I would get your final okay as it would then be sent to print. This would need to be done for all the following...

Players you Choose and Art you Approve. (To cut this to the needed specifications and have the running players shine through is one of the most difficult tasks. This alone will be about $1500 if I make zero mistakes. The shipping alone of this large acrylic is a few hundred. The graphic is printed on the underside so that the ball doesn't do any damage at all to the graphic.

The machine will be brand new looking (as much as possible) and this will include a brand new cabinet glass. It would ship with the glass that is on the machine now and I will include brand new glass you can replace when you want.
That is a good start. So, you tell me what you are thinking. For me, if you buy the Giants, I will most likely buy the current slugfest machine and do another Giants machine since the graphics are done. If you choose to do the Royals, then I would begin the design elements and get the machine shipped to me. The one I was looking at is in Chicago I believe. You would truly have a very unique piece. Also, it will hold its value. These machines only go down in total number. 1600 is all that was made and realistically probably half remain. I did see someone made a cubs machine but they did much, much less than I did.
The cubs machine is below, but basically all that was changed is the outside art. They didn't change anything inside, no fan graphics etc. For a simple design you could probably do $6000 as no playfield is needed etc. So, just depends on how unique and creative you want to be. So, please let me know your thoughts. Looking forward to getting to make another of these.
